Fairways Exploration & Production, LLC

In 2009, Fairways Offshore Exploration, Inc., which began in 1993 and only operated Gulf of Mexico assets, was restructured under an enhanced business plan as a private portfolio investment company targeting opportunities in the upstream oil and natural gas sector.  Its affiliate - Fairways Exploration & Production, LLC - was formed to participate in onshore exploration and development of oil and natural gas reserves in the lower 48 states.

The life cycle of a start-up exploration and production company takes several years.

  Fairways underwent a major restructuring process.
• 2010
  Focused on land acquisition resulting in Fairways increasing its onshore footprint to over 600,000 net mineral acres.
• 2011
  Primarily focused on data gathering by conducting more than 1,000 square miles of proprietary 3D seismic surveys.
• 2012
  Focus on exploration and drilling campaigns.
• 2013
  Focus on offsetting successful wildcat wells and infill development.
