R. Steve Knowles, Jr.
Vice President of Operations
Mr. Knowles joined Fairways in September 2009 as a senior drilling and completion consulting engineer and became Fairways' Senior Production Manager in June 2010. He was promoted to Vice President of Operations in November of 2010 for Fairways Exploration & Production, LLC and Fairways Offshore Exploration, Inc. Mr. Knowles has over 22 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry in drilling, completions, production and reservoir engineering as well as acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to joining Fairways, Mr. Knowles owned and operated an engineering consulting business and held positions with Millennium Offshore Group, Proton Energy and Meridian Oil. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from West Virginia University and a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. Mr. Knowles is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
